Smoky, earthy, floral

Currently, the origin of the Chocolate Primotalii pepper is not quite known. The Primotalii however is created by Chris Saunders hailing from the UK and is a mix of the 7 Pot Primo and a Fatalii.

A common consenus is that the Chocolate Primotalii is not yet fully stable, which is why it is hard to track down it's origins. One thing is for certain, Primotalii is involved and the heat level is claimed to be one of the hottest peppers in the world. Even the legendary Johhny Scoville made this claim several times on his Youtube channel while reviewing it. This pepper has a lot to say. Eat with caution.

  • Shape and Size: The Chocolate Primotalii pepper has an elongated, somewhat gnarly appearance, typical of many superhot varieties. It often has a pointed, stinger-like tail.
  • Color: When immature, the peppers are green, transitioning to a deep chocolate brown as they ripen. This dark color is a distinguishing characteristic.
  • Texture: The surface of the pepper is typically rough and bumpy, adding to its distinctive appearance.
  • Flavor: Despite its extreme heat, the Chocolate Primotalii is known for its complex flavor. It has a rich, slightly smoky, and earthy taste with fruity undertones. The flavor is more pronounced when the pepper is fully ripe.
  • Aroma: The pepper has a potent, somewhat floral aroma that complements its flavor profile.
  • Scoville Heat Units (SHU): The Chocolate Primotalii is one of the superhot peppers, with a Scoville rating that can reach up to 2,000,000 SHU. This places it among the hottest peppers in the world.
  • Heat Sensation: The heat from a Chocolate Primotalii is extremely intense and can be overwhelming for those not accustomed to superhot peppers. The burn is immediate and long-lasting. Heat sensation will likely be pulsating and extremely intense. Eat with caution.
  • Unofficial hottest pepper claims: The Chocolate Primotalii is one of the superhot peppers, with a Scoville rating that can reach up to 2,000,000 SHU and likely past it. This places it among the hottest peppers in the world. If Johnny Scoville says it is the hottest pepper he has tried, we do not take that lightly.
