This pepper is derived from the Naga Morich and is distinct from the Chocolate Naga Viper.
Originally from the northeastern region of India, particularly Assam and Nagaland. The "Big Bang" variant is a recent development.

- Size: Pods can grow up to a few inches long.
- Flavor: Despite its intense heat, it has a complex and robust flavor profile with fruity and earthy notes and a hint of smokiness.
- Aroma: Strong, pungent aroma with underlying fruity and smoky tones.
- Scoville Heat Units (SHU): Although not officially tested, it is believed to have a similar heat level as the Naga Viper, ranging from 900,000 to 1,300,000 SHU.
- Heat Experience: The heat rivals that of the Chocolate Ghost pepper and the Trinidad Scorpion, providing a searing hot sensation.
